Please help support the local businesses these are the heart of the community.  Joining the Chamber either as an individual or a commercial member provides money to advertise and promote our area, and helps put on community events like the July 3rd Dance, July 4th Parade and Community Picnic, Cardboard Freighter Races, The Salmon Derby and The WinterFest.  We also support several other events not directly organized by the Chamber, like the Happy Apple Festival, A Village Christmas, Passage Art Fair and several local fishing derbies.  These events bring in tourists and outside visitors along with dollars to spend in our town.  These visitors may be on a weekend getaway, looking for vacation property, snowmobiling/boating/fishing through, or just out on a leaf color drive.  When we show a close knit business and personal community, people get that tingle that makes them want to come back to DeTour and get away from the downstate hassles.   

There are a number of benefits, both direct and indirect, to joining the Chamber.  Becoming a Member of the Chamber helps provide:

- DeTour Area Information Brochures & Business Directory Guide
           (over 5000 distributed annually statewide in Michigan Welcome Centers)
- Supports Local Events
          (July 4th Parade/Dance/Fireworks, Freighter Race, Salmonfest Derby, DeTour WinterFest, Art&Wine Festival, and the Happy Apple, RASC Fishing Derby)
- DeTour Area Promotion Billboards and Snowmobile Visitor Welcome Sign
- Provides Advertising for Summer Visitor's Guide and Michigan Snowmobiling Ads
- Provides money to maintain and support the following:

- power/maintenance of the DeTour Chamber Pavillion

- the grounds and electricity at the DeTour Historical Museum and NEW Observation Binoculars

- maintain and light the GIANT Flag Pole next to the Ferry

- supports the LesCheneaux Snowmobile Club and support for the Local Food Bank

- maintains a Snowmobile Parking/Staging Area

- maintenance of this website

$15/year Artist/Crafter or Personal Membership

- Single web-page for your business on the Chamber's site, (you submit pictures and info)
- Blue Cross Group Rates (commercial members)
- Participate in Chamber "shared cost" ads in Summer Visitor's Guide,  and Michigan Snowmobiler Mags.
- Option to place sign Snowmobile Welcome Sign (at Parking area), and on Village Route Map

- Low cost rental of 10x20 Awning tent, Popcorn Machine and Snow-cone Machine
